Assistant Sourcing Director - Leather

JOB DESCRIPTION :

Candidate should have handled Leather Sourcing (footwear, bags, belts etc.)

1. Provides operational leadership and directs sourcing activities ensuring all processes and functions are performed efficiently and effectively to produce the best overall value.

2. Directs the development of corporate sourcing strategies and provides direct departmental leadership toward effective and efficient execution of these strategies

3. Ensures appropriate department financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting to deliver results for the department and the Company

4. Has in depth knowledge and experience of Product development and all related quality processes.

5. Drives continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, and cost savings through review of people, process, and technology

6. Coordinates with internal Company buyers to achieve their goals and objectives as effectively and efficiently as possible through the highest level of procurement expertise

7. Oversees on-going development and training efforts for all his team associates to develop talent and create a strong bench for succession planning

8. In Depth knowledge of Product Development and quality control process in footwear/bags industry

9. Record of accomplishments in leading people, innovation, decision-making, strategic thinking, communication, and process improvement

10. Expertise in Sourcing and negotiation

11. Languages: English & Spanish (preferred)

Experience / Background :

1. 10-12 years of relevant experience in senior leadership role

2. Masters in Business Administration preferred
