Assistant Product Manager


JOB TITLE : Asst. Product Manager

LOCATION : Mumbai

Experience : 3-4 Years. Previous experience in product management/category management would be a plus.

Qualification level : Postgraduate. MBA would be preferred.

Job Function : Product Management

Skillset :

- Good communication both written and verbal

- Prior experience in Category/Brand Management/Key Account Management would be a plus

- Advanced Excel & Power Point Skills

Job Description :

- This position has been designed to ensure focus on the different categories and brands in the portfolio.

- It entails establishing a close cross functional relationship with Sales, Marketing and Operations teams to deliver clearly defined KPIs.

Asst Product Manager

Job Responsibilities :

- Deliver Business Objectives : Revenue /Distribution /Profitability for the Brands/categories managed.

- Marketing - Jointly work with the marketing team for creation of marketing calendar for the category and execution of the same.

- Availability: Ensure a robust forecasting process, co-ordinate with the Supply Chain team to ensure availability of products across geographies at all times.


- Work closely with Supply Chain & operations to build a 3-month rolling forecast for the product portfolio.

- Actively explore brands alliances and collaborations to build awareness and visibility for the brand.

- Monitor distributor and market inventory to ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained at all times.

- Maintain a category scorecard including parameters such as revenue/volume/profitability/trade and marketing spends etc. and publish every month.

- Building Launch Plans for new products.

- Sales Support - work closely with the sales team for achievement of critical KPI of the category in that city or chain.


- Analyzing data to help bridge the gaps in the business.

Key Performance Indicators :

- Revenue Growth /Distribution & Profitability for the brand.

- Deliver 3 months rolling forecast thereby ensure 90% Fill Rate across the year.

- Build & Execute Marketing calendar as per plan.

- Maintain Category Scorecard in the prescribed template and publish the same by the 10 th of every month.

- Execute minimum 3 strategic alliances during the year.
