Job Description
Title: Assistant Manager - Rice Export
Location: Navi Mumbai
Experience: Minimum 5 years in Rice Export
Reports To: Head - Trader
Role:
- Responsible for export of non-basmati rice to target international markets.
This involves:
- Constantly pitch for export of White rice and Parboiled rice
- Build relationship with clients and indentors
- Expand export to new countries, new markets and new clients
- Maintain high degree of professionalism and transparency in framing sales contracts
- Periodically report sales performance against predefined sales targets
- Consistently focus on customer satisfaction
Key Responsibilities:
- Maximise export
- Analyze market trends, emerging customer needs, and competitor activity
- Track and effectively use government policies and trade trends to company's advantage
- Effective and prompt communication
- Professional negotiation of contracts, pricing, and other terms with clients and indentors
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow revenue
- Use analytics to improve decision-making and planning
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements
- Role model personal integrity and ethics
- Keep company's brand and image at the center of all managerial actions
Ideal candidate:
- Bachelor's degree
- MBA in Marketing or foreign trade will be an added advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience in rice trade of which last one years in a managerial role looking after export
- Proven track record of sales performance
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
