Job Description:
Position Summary including Major Challenges:
The role of the Associate is to perform tagging of financial statements for the Assurance GTH multinational clients. Clients are primarily based in the UK and Ireland. Key challenges for the role are to provide high quality tagged accounts to the local engagement team, often to a tight deadline.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Perform high quality tagging in accordance with tagging rules and accounting concepts.
- Clearly and accurately document the observations noted and discrepancies identified during the tagging process.
- Stay informed of updates from HMRC/ filing authorities relevant to the client's business.
- Develop in-depth understanding of tagging tools & taxonomies to enhance efficiencies and quality of tagged accounts.
- Obtain thorough understanding of the financial statements before applying tags and communicate potential issues to the GTH Senior.
- Collaborate with GTH and engagement team members to set goals and responsibilities.
- Deliver work in line with designated methodology, project plan or process in line with Company's standards.
- Demonstrate professionalism, competence and clarity of communication when dealing with the engagement team.
- Maintain a strong client focus, be responsive to engagement team requests, and develop/maintain productive working relationships with the team contacts.
- Where appropriate, challenge tagging process used in base-filings by the GTH team and attempt to enhance tagging quality.
- Compare efficiency of tagging process performed across different clients and suggest ideas for improvement.
- Develop GTH people through teamwork, integrity, and leadership.
- Contribute ideas/opinions to the engagement teams and listen/respond to other team members' views.
- Use technology to continually learn, share knowledge with team members, and enhance service delivery.
- Promote company's ethical and professional standards, including data confidentiality, especially when dealing with outsiders.
Qualification: Strong academic record including a Bachelor's Degree.
