Assistant Manager - Workforce Planning/ Resource Management

Key responsibilities :
- Identify, maintain and manage the open requirements received from various sources of demand i.e. the GDM- s, onsite PM- s, US RM's and USI RM's in GSS Web.
- Understand the requirements of each client assignment, the client's business, market, and financial model and how utilization factors in.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of each assigned practitioners skills.
- Have pre-assignment discussions with practitioners to find developmental opportunity in each assignment
- Have post assignment discussion with practitioners to ascertain new skills, performance feedback, determine what assignments should be next, etc.
- Coach practitioners around industry designation, updating skills profiles, resume updates and net profiles.
- In collaboration with leadership and Talent Manager(s) strategically deploy practitioners to client and other assignments based on individual skills sets and client requirements.
- Maximize project, evenly allocate and accurately forecast assigned US India Consulting practitioners utilization. Work with the GDMs on engagement level leverage models.
- Support the SLL and Talent Deployment leader in workforce/headcount planning activities.
- Promote, monitor accurate and timely scheduling & reporting of assigned US India Consulting practitioners. Review reports on utilization, variance, leaves, learning hours, headcount, and client needs to make appropriate recommendations to leadership.
- Assist in evaluating US client engagement needs and suggest resource solutions based on familiarity with the ability and preferences of assigned India Consulting professionals, including identifying additional resources as needed.
- Promote development of skill sets & career interests among assigned India Consulting professionals, including monitoring learning progress and maintaining databases of technical and industry experience
- Communicate with Talent Manager on any performance or employee relation issues, escalating or following instructions as appropriate.
- Maintain accurate staffing systems i.e., GSS, GSS Web and KX- resume and skill matrix.
- Participate in in-office events for campus recruits and interns.
- Collaborate closely with the Talent Acquisition team on implementation of intern program.
- Ensure new hires/associates/first years have appropriate hours booked on strategic clients
- Assist Talent Acquisition colleagues in finding appropriate client service resources for recruiting events.
- All of the above priorities should be executed in a consultative, proactive and strategic manner, with emphasis on active communication, teaming and technical (i.e. reporting) proficiency.
