Assistant Manager/Team Lead - US Mortgage - BFSI

Position Overview : The incumbent will work closely with the respective Manager (Underwriting, Processing, and Closing) or Project Manager to ensure their staff is trained and meeting their daily goals for productivity and quality and adherence to departmental procedures/policies.

Essential Job Functions :

- Provide leadership to a team of 8-15 through coaching, career planning and supporting each direct report to achieve their optimum performance

- Provide direct feedback to the team members on quality review results and set forth a measured improvement plan where needed.

- Direct ongoing training needs to ensure team members have a clear understanding of job requirements and updates to the underwriting requirements

- Manage to achieve SLA timeframes and commitments to our Client

- Manage work schedules, overtime and labor cost to achieve departmental budget plans

- Must be flexible and able to work in a fast paced, potentially stressful environment

- As 100% of the work opportunities are onsite, in person attendance is required

Requirements :

- Current credit guideline knowledge (within past 2-3 years)

- 2-3 years of mortgage experience with Supervisory responsibilities

- Proficient in automated underwriting tools

- Detail oriented

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Basic computer knowledge required in Excel, Word, and Outlook
