GSS operates from 2 cities in India (Bangalore & Gurgaon) with a work force of over 3500 people.   Position Details:   Job Title - Assistant Manager Taxation  Reporting to - Manager  Location - Bangalore  Tax-AM Direct   Job purpose   - Ability to prepare / respond to SCN's from department   - Attending any hearing related to Direct and Indirect Tax Matters   - Ability to prepare and file appeal documents wherever required   - Ensure compliance in matters related to Direct and Indirect Tax   - Assist team in matters pertaining to Foreign Payments from approval perspective   - Handling International Tax matters - Expatriates and Transfer Pricing and PE   - Work closely with various functions of the organization   Your client responsibilities   - To ensure internal client expectations and deadlines   Your people responsibilities   - To be a team player   - Additional skills requirements   - Should be conversant with Direct and Indirect Tax Laws   - Should have an experience in handling tax issues   - Well adverse with all the recent notifications and ruling pertaining to Direct and Indirect Tax   - Should have an exposure to International tax matters and taxation of Expatriates and PE   - MS Office Skills   Core Finance exposure   AM-Indirect Tax   Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:   - Compliance of Indirect Taxes (like ST3/Monthly payment etc.)   - Drafting replies to Notices under indirect taxes   - Able to interact with the Consultants and the tax department on the subject   - Support to manager in direct tax work   - Any other task to meet the job requirement   Competencies / Skills:   - Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of experience or CA/Masters with 6-10 years of experience   - MS Office, specially excel   - Knowledge of accounting packages like oracle SAP (not mandatory)   - Good Communication skills   Experience:   - 6-10 years of relevant experience   - Conversant with indirect Tax laws and working knowledge of direct tax   - Good understanding of Finance & Accounting   - Preferably from ITES sector   Incase this interests you then please revert with an updated copy of your CV and suggest a time when we can talk to take this further.
