Position :
- Tax Technology team's mission is to develop, implement and integrate technology solutions that better serve our clients and engagement teams. As a member of core Tax practice, you'll develop a deep tax technical knowledge and outstanding database, data analytics and programming skills.
- Ever-increasing regulations require tax departments to gather, organize and analyse more data than ever before. Often the data necessary to satisfy these ever-increasing and complex regulations must be collected from a variety of systems and departments throughout an organization.
- Effectively and efficiently handling the variety and volume of data is often extremely challenging and time consuming for a company.
- Tax Technology team members work side-by-side with the firm's partners, clients and tax technical subject matter experts to develop and incorporate technology solutions that enhance value-add, improve efficiencies and enable our clients with disruptive and market leading tools supporting Tax.
- Tax Technology works closely with clients and professionals in the following areas: Federal Business Tax Services, Partnership Compliance, Corporate Compliance, Indirect Tax Services, Human Capital, and Internal Tax Services.
- Tax Technology provides solution architecture, application development, testing and maintenance support to the global TAX service line both on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests.
- We are currently seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Tax Technology practice in Bangalore, India.
Key Responsibilities :
- Support Tax Technology leadership across various work-streams on the solution design and development of Tax tools and technology solutions working with Data Analytics, Process Excellence, IT Services and Tax SMEs.
- Support project delivery on a variety of engagements, incorporating technology to address complex tax problems.
- Support project management in a demanding, time-sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutions through the use of cross-functional teams and remote resources.
- Work with Tax Data Analytics team to develop models based upon state and local reporting and tax requirements.
- Support development of solutions and services to help clients automate their tax data and logic computations.
- Deliver projects in a demanding, time-sensitive environment and deliver high-quality solutions through the use of cross-functional teams and remote resources.
Qualification :
- Bachelor's / Master's degree in Software Engineering / Information Technology / MBA / Graduate Degree in Accounting or Finance or a graduate degree or minor or dual degree in Accounting Information Systems preferred.
- An overall 5-8 years- experience with at least 4-6 years of relevant hands on work experience building, integrating and delivering enterprise-wide web and windows applications for US Tax practice
- Demonstrated experience in tax technology application design and development, design and code reviews, unit test and build activities, deployment and performance related activities, documentation.
- Good interpersonal communication and team skills
- Technical skills designing, developing, debugging, documenting, and implementing applications.
- Knowledge and experience in all IT methodologies and life cycles that will be used.
- Possesses understanding of IT Services: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure.
