Urgent Requirement for leading Manufacturing Company
Position: Asst MANAGER - SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT
Location: Hyderabad
Qualification: Graduation in Mechanical Engineering/Any graduate with MBA
Experience: 6+ Years
Timings: 9 am - 6pm
Monday to Saturday (1st and 3rd Saturday's are off)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Receive Indents from various departments like Planning, Engineering, Production, Quality, Maintenance etc
- Prepare RFQs and float them to potential suppliers
- Solicit quotations, make comparative statements of quotations received, negotiate price and other terms with vendor and place Purchase Order after Management Approval
- Take inputs from the budget sheet and ensure purchases are made within the allocated budget
- Work with the Stores department to have updated database of inventory of all goods
- Ensure all requirements are transferred from indent to RFQ. Ensure quotation complies with all requirements of RFQ and PO carries all requirements of indent
- Conduct Vendor Rating of the suppliers based upon company norms and rate the suppliers
- Conduct Vendor Registration of new suppliers on a continual mode and organise technical committee for vendor evaluation as per company procedure
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Diploma / Graduation in Mechanical Engineering OR
- Any graduate with MBA with relevant experience in a Supply Chain Management
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- 6 to 10 Years of work experience
- Must have worked in a manufacturing industry preferably dealing with Aerospace and Defence products and services as well as Export Customers
- Must have experience in working according to company QMS aligning to Aerospace standards - AS 9100 Rev D processes
- Must possess good knowledge of manufacturing processes adopted in aerospace and defence programs / products - Good time management and Organisational skills with ability to multi-task to meet deadlines and organisational needs
- Has working knowledge of dealing with Defence PSUs and DRDO, ISRO and other agencies is an advantage
- Very strong written and verbal communication
- Candidate should have strong Stakeholder Management Skills
- Good decision-making skills. Good interpersonal skills
- Experience in Management reporting / MIS using standard ERP packages
- Capable of developing a problem-solving culture where problems are made visible and fixed at the root cause.
- Day-to-Day Operations, Inbound, Inventory, Outbound, First Mile Logistics & Returns
- Inventory Management - Slotting, accuracy, damage, and shrinkage control.
- Planning, Strategy deployment, and day-to-day Operations in Order management/fulfillment.
- Developing procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective.
- Manage the full spectrum of logistics activities and supervise the logistics team to ensure the smooth running of operations, including inbound & outbound shipments, inventory management, and local distribution arrangement.
- Good knowledge of suppliers and vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating prospective suppliers, and liaising with vendors)
- Search potential vendors, Identify and select primary and secondary suppliers
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality of purchased products
- Enter order details (e.g., vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases - Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices
- Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses
- Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed
- Coordinate with warehouse staff to ensure proper storage
- Review quality of purchased product
