Assistant Manager / Specialist, Corporate Finance Product Control

- Up to 3 years of relevant work experience

- Qualified CA or equivalent qualifications. Even semi-qualified CA with strong accounting and audit background can apply.

- Performed roles in a Product Control environment and have a good knowledge (risk and accounting) of products

- Excellent network building and interpersonal skills

- Understand how IT systems work, from the Front Office booking systems, through to the ledger, and how these interact.

- Ability to use excel to analyze and validate data.

The individual will be responsible for:

1) Responsible for the Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reporting for Special Purpose Vehicles ( SPV- s) of the Principal Finance Business of SCB. The main products under this business are Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure and Mezzanine and Alternate Solutions.

2) Responsible for the delivery of the strategic work streams in Principal Finance Product Control space and be an active participant and drive projects for Principal Finance PC.

3) The role will be involved identifying the risks and controls to ensure the Principal Finance product is controlled globally.

4) Overview of Principal Finance deals executed by the front desk across various sub products and assessing any specific accounting requirements, such as hedges and the impact of relevant accounting standards.

5) Performance of month end accounting processes including Manual adjustment journals, ensuring Reconciliation between accounting platform and various sub ledgers, substantiation of account balances, etc. so as to ensure accuracy and completeness in finalization of financial information.

6) Ensuring adherence and improving upon timelines with respect to internal guidelines and policies on various periodical reporting submissions.

7) Risk weighted assets (RWA) reporting - Review monthly movements in RWA at investment and portfolio level, assisting the business and Regulatory Reporting teams with the understanding of balance sheet and RWA drivers.

8) Take responsibility for ad-hoc projects/ analysis to support the business

9) Collaborate with other divisions, including; Regulatory Reporting, Corporate Accounting, Legal and Compliance, Operations, IT and Trading Divisions, other country finance reporting teams to enable seamless delivery
