Assistant Manager - SAS - BFSI

Job Description:

- Maintenance of existing report suite

- Develop new SAS reports

- Create OLAP cubes

- Create information maps

- Provide live support to business users on reports or data

Main Accountabilities:

Business Performance Research and Analysis

- Receive report specifications from Clusters / Group Functions via change request

- Perform Data and Functional Gap Analysis (by comparing the current system / data model design) for new reports and liaise with technology / development team where changes needed

- Develop/Write new reports as requested by clusters/group functions via change control

- Test new report designs, and involve (prototype to) business requestor where appropriate

- Release new reports in Live and their scheduling

- Develop and maintain OLAP cubes and information maps

- Resolve report queries for clusters/group functions

- Write ad hoc reports if required by clusters/group functions to review and challenge results if required

- Maintain existing reports where impacted by system upgrades

- Maintain functional specification of all reports

Quality Management

- Ensure that the highest quality and accuracy standards are achieved in terms of documentation and coding

- Drive for future quality improvements

Communication and Reporting

- Constant communication amongst the team both onshore and offshore

- Clear and consistent communication with all the business users

- Provide work details to manager periodically

Technical Skills/Competencies:

- Expertise in base and macro SAS programming – minimum 3 years of coding experience

- SAS report writing skills – Web Report Studio, Enterprise Guide

- Experience in OLAP cube studio and SAS Infomap studio

- Experience in SAS Management console will be added advantage

- Analytical abilities

- Good working knowledge of Basel accord will be an added advantage

- Expertise in OLAP and SAS Management console will be a plus

- Business knowledge in Finance domain to understand business data is SRM

- Exposure to Credit Risk Engine workings

Experience, qualifications and other requirements specific to the role:

Essential

- Should be atleast a B.E. or equivalent

- Would be required to provide support during the UK working hours

- Should have worked on projects with SAS as primary technology and should have plenty of SAS reporting experience

- Should have experience on atleast one development project with SAS as the primary technology

- Atleast 3 years of SAS experience

- Experience with oracle relational databases, PL/SQL queries

- Should have worked on projects in finance domain

- Expertise in SAS macros is a must

- Experience in SAS BI tools: OLAP Studio, InfoMap Studio, WRS etc.

Preferred

- Advanced SAS certifications will be preferred

- Statistical knowledge will be a plus.

- Understanding of Basel guidelines

- Understanding of regulatory reporting for finance
