Job Description:

Position Overview:

The Assistant Manager - Sales is responsible for driving sales and business development within the region, managing key accounts, and handling projects related to architects, developers, fabricators, contractors, and builders.

This role requires a focus on customer service, marketing, and relationship building to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and effective project management.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

- Identify and classify key accounts including architects, interior designers, project management consultants (PMC), contractors, and builders.

- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet and exceed regional sales targets.

- Foster relationships with potential and existing clients to drive new business opportunities.

Project Handling:

- Manage and oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet client expectations and deadlines.

- Conduct detailed mapping of all running projects for each account/specifier to keep track of progress and requirements.

Marketing and Business Development:

- Implement marketing strategies to promote products and services within the assigned region.

- Collaborate with the marketing team to design and execute promotional campaigns, trade shows, and other marketing activities.

Customer Service and Key Account Management:

- Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring high levels of satisfaction.

- Maintain and strengthen relationships with key accounts through regular communication and follow-up.

Relationship Building:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, developers, fabricators, contractors, and builders.

- Understand their needs and requirements to offer tailored solutions and services.

Understanding Product and Market:

- Develop a deep understanding of the structure, product quality, and unique selling propositions (USP) of the company's offerings.

- Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.

Performance Monitoring:

- Monitor and evaluate sales performance and project outcomes against set parameters and objectives.

- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales progress and market insights.

Team Collaboration:

- Work collaboratively with internal teams including marketing, product development, and customer service to align efforts and achieve business goals.

- Participate in team meetings and contribute to strategy discussions and problem-solving.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.

- An MBA or relevant advanced degree is a plus.

- Proven experience in sales, business development, or project management, preferably in the construction, architecture, or related industries.

- Strong understanding of the sales process, customer service, and key account management.

- Experience with handling projects and managing client relationships effectively.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical and persuasive abilities.

- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new information and market dynamics.

- Effective team player with a collaborative attitude.

- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
