Role Title:
Assistant Manager - Risk, Clearing and Settlement, Corporate Bonds Function Risk, Clearing and Settlement, Corporate Bonds
Reports to - Functionally Manager Reports to - Administratively Manager

Purpose of the role:
- Perform daily risk, collateral and clearing & settlement operations.

Risk and Clearing activities:
- Execute processes in a timely manner
- Generate and download reports to members
- Generate and transfer Data/ reports to regulatory authorities
- Crystallise obligations and carry out related activities for the same
- Monitor corporate actions and take appropriate action with regards to position adjustment etc..
- Enablement of new members
- CP code allocation to Custodians / Clearing Members
- Generate and download penalty reports
- Resolve Talisma queries
- Facilitating Regulatory Compliance, Audit Activities and involvement in process & system Developmental Activities Circular preparation
Collateral operations:
Key Responsibility:
Collateral addition:
- Screen and check collaterals offered and verify instruments thoroughly so as to ensure compliance with SEBI/CC norms.
- Carry out requisite process / operations for addition of collaterals
- Interface with members to provide support to members for providing collaterals addition requests through CIM
- Reconcile details with custodians and depositories
- Enablement of new members
Collateral release:
- Track and Receive requests for release of collateral on a day to day basis so that members can trade as per limits.
- Perform physical and system checks for verification for collateral to ensure safe custody and error free operations and compliance.
- Check utilisation of trading members before release of collateral so as to ensure financial compliance.
- Interacting with other departments for NOCs
- Interface with banks/Custodians/ Members
- Constantly monitor net worth of banks for approvals.
- Follow credentials to check banks compliance with internal and SEBI norms.
- Resolving Member (Talisma), Banks, Custodian and Regulatory Queries in time bound manner
- Support for CIM to Members, Banks and Custodians
Other activities:
- Facilitating Regulatory Compliance, Audit Activities and involvement in process & system Developmental Activities Circular preparation
Settlement operations:
Key Responsibility:
Securities Settlement activities :
- Interact with depositories, NSDL and CDSL for pay-in and pay-out process to ensure that trades are settled as per guidelines.
- Calculate net shortages and initiate required action against members if required e.g. disable member accounts or withhold securities payout
- Facilitate the pay out process
- Identify all member shortages and conduct auction and obligation competition within stipulated time.
Early Pay-in :
- Interface with the depositories on an hourly basis to process early pay-in by members/ custodians
- Carry out the processes for reckoning the early pay-in to provide benefit to members
Funds activities:
- Conducting funds pay-in and payout for each of the segments by electronic interfacing with each of the clearing banks
- Ensuring pay-in and payout in adherence to the regulatory specifications
- Follow up with banks for shortages and taking action for shortages in line with specifications in this regard.
- Support Collection of members margins through the clearing banks
- Collate Weekly, monthly and ad-hoc data

Corporate Bonds operations :
Key Responsibility:
Operational activities:
- Error free settlements of Funds and bonds
- Preparation of MIS to HOD
- Daily Reconciliations
- Data to external agencies - SEBI, RBI, FIMMDA
- Interacting with internal auditors for audit queries
- Interacting with the development team.
- Handle communication with Members/Banks/Dep
- Maintain relationships with the members for easier communication
- Receive queries from members, coordinate with counterparties/Banks and solve them.
- Identification of areas for process improvements, automation etc.
- Track Market news in respect of news that may impact clearing activities
Note: Additional responsibilities may be added from time to time depending on organisational requirements.

Role Holder Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
Essential: MBA Finance Degree
Desired: NA
Role Requirements: Understanding of the financial and capital markets.
Experience Essential : 1 - 3 years experience in the Finance sector with BFSI or BPO arm of Financial organisations.
Desired : Experience with institutional brokers
