Job Responsibilities : Purpose & Context
- Work on Ice Cream innovation/ renovation/ Value improvement projects for both product and process development
Purpose of the job : Lead innovation projects as technical project leader, Planning and execution of experiments
Deliverables of the Role :
- Consumer & Market Understanding: Understanding the key consumer and market insights and translating them in to product ideas.
Product Design (Ice Creams) :
- Technical Project leader / Formulation / Process design work stream leader for Ice Cream projects / portfolio in South Asia.
- Lead formulation prototyping at pilot scale and deployment at main plant.
- Summarize & apply learning on product formulations from GDC for implementation in the region.
- Lead process design and scalup. Provide design inputs to TPL's and SC partners.
Innovation Projects :
- Technical project Leader in the cross functional project team. Work on key global projects being rolled out in South Asia.
- Responsible for specification of formulation, process, pack and Quality Assurance regimes to support / enforce these specs agreed technical action standards.
- Drive world class project management in line with QII for all key projects.
- Responsible for OTIF implementation of key development / rollout projects in the Region.
- Responsible for updating & maintaining Toolbox integrity for key projects.
- Conduct shelf-life studies to establish shelf-life of new products and/or intervene through formulation/recipes to enhance shelf-life.
- Use appropriate measurement techniques (either existing or develop new techniques) to characterize key attributes of the product
Value Improvement projects :
- Deliver VIP product logic target for the year.
- Identify potential areas of savings and drive them for implementation. Prepare roadmap for margin improvement.
Capability :
- Track moves by key competition & local players by country and carry out competition benchmarking
- Responsible for risk management, claims and legal compliance with local & regional requirements.
- Develop processing capability for all product formats at pilot scale and support scale up to main plant.
- Develop capability to be able to produce finished product of the desired quality with a range of raw materials within the specified range.
- Prepare technical dockets for transferring technologies to SC / factories.
- Establish technology developed at pilot-scale in company's factories to enable commercial production; trouble-shooting at factory-scale when required.
- Enhance Ice Cream /beverage processing technology.
- Continuously look for / experiment with new technologies /recipes to develop products that offer tangible, new benefits to the consumer.
