Assistant Manager - Reporting & Data Management

Responsibilities :

- The jobholder will be responsible for technical, systems and data support, working closely with India technology teams, business finance teams across geographies and regional sales teams.

- The role involves critical business reporting, handling of data issues and acting upon various ad-hoc requests under tight timeframes. A key responsibility includes analysing and delivering the President's daily report as per defined SLAs.

- Ensuring timely provision of key sales & assets information to senior management across company.

- Reviewing and analysing the sales & assets data to ensure accurate internal & external reporting.

- Liaise with stakeholders and counterparties to resolve exceptions in a timely and preferably pro-active manner.

- Managing fortnightly stakeholder calls, sharing functional updates and resolving issues raised.

- Maintaining and developing new reports required by Business teams using OBIEE.

- Ensuring accurate recodes and adjustments are placed to the back-end, internal EDW system.

- Creating, managing and maintaining databases for storage and easy retrieval of data.

- The ability to use MS Excel/ MS Access and write macros in VB script for automating the processes, updating access databases and writing MS access, WebFocus, OBIEE queries to load and retrieve data.

- Providing ad hoc analysis, reports and presentations to the business under challenging time frames.

- Participation in projects as required & performing periodic general administrative tasks.

Experience and Qualification :

- 5 to 6 years experience in a similar position, preferably within a global and / or a financial services company

- Post Graduate degree from a recognized university

- Comfortable dealing with large volumes of data

- Sound analytical skills with an eye for details

- High numeracy and able to co-relate data/ information

- Keen to review processes and personally drive improvements

- Ability to grasp new concepts, assimilate information and deliver high quality solutions with speed

- Ability to guide and train the junior members of the team

- Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and internal customers

- Strong analytical and investigations skills with an inquiring mind

- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify issues of potential risk

- Good MS experience with emphasis on Excel, Access and PowerPoint

- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

- Team player with collaborative attitude

- Willingness to work additional hours and bank holidays as the business dictates

- Use of OBIEE/ WebFocus or similar software would be an added advantage.
