Immediate opening for an Assistant Manager Projects - Process Automation & TPM with the topmost FMCG Conglomerate in India. The position is to be based at CHENNAI.

Purpose of the Job :

To lead and drive process automation / mechanization / Raw Material conversion projects across multiple vendor locations to improve productivity, capacity, manpower rationalization & quality, through identification of processes for automation, technical evaluation & selection of machines, installation & commissioning, preventive/predictive maintenance, vendor personnel training and development

Principal Accountabilities : 

1. To lead & drive automation / mechanization projects in the business

- Identification of processes for automation

- Supplier identification and induction

- Technical evaluation & selection of suitable machines

- Installation & commissioning of machines

- Maintenance & spares planning

- Training and development of vendor personnel to run & maintain machines

- Annual budget preparation for automation / mechanization projects

- Ensure timely completion of major CAPEX projects related to manpower rationalization, productivity improvement, capacity enhancement as per business requirements in-line with divisional targets

- Project Monitoring and adherence to timelines

- Use of IoT

2. To Monitor health of machines/equipments

- Preventive/predictive maintenance planning & execution

- Critical spares planning

- Breakdown analysis and reporting

- MTBF / MTTR

OEE of the machines

- Technical support to the vendors to resolve machine related concerns / issues

- Implementation of TPM initiatives across vendors to improve machine performance

- Take up & drive 5S / Kaizen initiatives

- To conduct Audits at regular frequencies and monitor the health of machines / equipments

- Annual budget preparation for Maintenance/TPM/Kaizen activities & initiatives

3. To Monitor & track energy consumption of machines/equipment's and to initiate energy saving initiatives

4. To ensure CEHS guidelines are complied during day to day activities, maintenance and project related activities

5. Maintain and manage all AMC's pertaining to machines/equipments

Educational Qualification & Experience :

- B.E in Mechanical / Electrical with 6-9 years experience in process automation and maintenance

- Preferably with FMCG background with experience in TPM

Skills & Competencies :

- Process automation

- Machine / equipment maintenance

- Mechanical & Electrical knowledge

- OEE / Machine utilization / Productivity

- MTBF / MTTR

- TPM, Kaizen, 5S etc.

- Project management

- Problem solving tools such as 7 qc tools, 5-why analysis etc.

Salary : 18.0-24.0 LPA
