Job description

1. Design and development of power electronics circuits.

- Development of power supplies like SMPS, regulated power supplies, linear power supplies, current controlled supplies, programmable power supplies, etc.

- Knowledge of RF Power Sources, X-Ray Power Sources, Pulsed power sources, etc. will be added advantage.

- Understand motors and motor controllers and development of motor drives and controls for induction motors, stepper motors, DC motors, etc.

- Development of isolation & power transformers, magnetics, inductances, DC/DC DC/AC AC/DC converters, filters, etc. Experience in Digital Analog circuits.

- Experience in power budgeting & allocation and development of Li-ion battery banks along with dedicated battery management systems, etc.

2. Simulation & Prototype developments of the products.

- Selection of high current power semiconductor (IGBTs, MOSFETs, and Diodes), gate drives & protection circuit design. Familiar with schematic capture & power converter circuit simulation tools.

- Experience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and PLDs and their peripheral circuitry (signal conditioning, board-level power supplies).

- Supervision of PCB layout for minimal stray inductance & capacitance, component placement strategies for better manufacturability, power/signal plane definition &

- EMC optimization.

- Experience with prototype development and proof of concept. Knowledge of fast prototyping will be added advantage.

3. Validation, Testing and Troubleshooting of power electronics circuits followed by detailed Documentation

- Ability to perform independent testing & troubleshooting activities using Oscilloscope, Power Supply, Multimeter, Logic Analyzer, Power Analyzer etc.

- Development of assembly instructions, test jigs & fixtures, test procedures & work instructions, test & validation reports, experimental results & conclusions.

- Support new product introduction to manufacturing and through product lifecycle with the help of detailed documentation & product file.

4. Certifications, Compliances to standards, Analysis

- Detailed understanding of Industry design and manufacturing practices (Reliability Analysis, DFMEA, PFMEA, RCA, CAPA, WCCA, IPC, etc.).

- Knowledge of EMI/EMC compliance (IEC 61000-X, ISO 11452-X, CISPR, MIL Grades) and Environmental qualification compliances (IEC, EN, MIL Grades).

- Knowledge in environmental, reliability, and safety requirements for Automotive, Industrial & Residential, and Defence applications.

5. Project Management & Execution

- Understand the timelines of the project and drive the efforts to meet the targets prior to the deadlines.

6. Collaborations

- Coordinate and collaborate with the engineering teams and vendors. Collaborate with BMS HW/FW engineering team to successfully to design, validate and deploy testing tools.
