Asst Manager Payroll & Compliance
A Large MNC enterprise in the Data center business is hiring an assistant manager for Payroll at the Mumbai location. ( Looking for 30-day JOINERS ONLY)

Reporting to: Senior HR Manager
Role Summary:
This role is a combination of HR Operations & Business Partnering role. 70% would be Payroll /Operations & 30% business Partnering. Exposure to Management of Payroll through an outsourced partner is a must. The company has employees at Multiple locations & the role holder should have exposure to multi-location payroll management
Key Responsibilities:
Part A -Payroll Management:
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline payroll processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce errors through automation, standardization, and process optimization.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and reviews of payroll data, reports, and processes to identify discrepancies, errors, and areas for improvement, taking corrective action as needed.
- Employee Inquiries: Respond to employee inquiries and requests related to payroll, deductions, taxes, and other payroll-related matters, providing accurate and timely information and assistance.
- Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports, summaries, and analyses to management and stakeholders, providing insights and recommendations based on payroll data.
- Process and oversee bi-weekly/monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Manage employee benefits administration, including enrolment, changes, and terminations.
- Address payroll-related inquiries from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with finance department to reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies
- Knowledge of taxation regulations and compliance.
- Responsible for Payroll compliance like PF, ESIC, Prof.Tax., MLWF remittance & also yearly, half yearly returns.
- Handle Statutory HR Labor Compliance
- To lead the audit requirements for the area of operations; Ensuring 100% compliance also conducting quarterly surprise Audits.
- Handling Insurance claim related Query & co-ordination with TPA.
Part B - To Work as HRBP for employees on 3rd Party Payroll (30% Weightage)
- As Business HR for associate employees, lead & drive End to End HR Processes - hiring, engagement, performance appraisals & increments, exit management
- Focus on introduction of new Policies & processes and / or identifying and improving the existing ones to cater to the business requirements
- To Carry out Induction / Orientation for new joiners
- Drive the partners to deliver on the business requirements and carry out periodic review
- To Conduct HR Operations (PR, PO, vendor invoice payments, provisions, etc- )
- Supporting HR Operations at multiple locations
- Vendor Management & Engagement
- Management outsourced employees - Complete life cycle management
- Reports, MIS, Coordination
Skills & Exp/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's/MBA degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field from a Reputed Institute .
- 7-8 years of experience in human resources with a focus on payroll management and HR Ops.
- Proficiency in payroll software/systems.
- Strong understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong process knowledge and expertise in driving end to end HR processes independently
- Execution focus with the ability to handle multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
