Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager - Packaging Purchase - Chemical

Opening with a well know public listed Chemical company in India.

Position Title - Asst. Manager/Manager/Sr. Manager - Packaging Purchase

Department - Commercial

Location - Gurgaon

Reporting to (Title) - Head - Supply Chain

Responsible for ensuring efficient planning and management of procurement processes. Also responsible for Liaising with approved vendors and ensuring timely service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Supply Chain:

Strategy:

- Assist the head commercial in developing a strategy for long-term procurement planning.

- Prepare procurement plan based on demand & production plans of the business.

- Identify the supply chain risks in sourcing & procurement and create risk mitigation plans.

Operational Efficiency:

- Monitor efficacy of procurement processes and implement action plans to improve the procurement process of the Agribusiness.

- Streamlining the sourcing and planning process to ensure the receipt and dispatch of all material without any delay / Implementing Just-in-Time (JIT).

Costs:

- Ensure adherence to budget for procurement of materials for Agri business

- Prepare and monitor adherence to budget for procurement of materials

- Ensure that the cost of inventory for agribusiness is optimised

Vendor Management:

- Identify new vendors for sourcing and procurement.

- Collect market information on pricing, lead times & vendor capability and highlight to the head commercial.

- Monitor performance and quality of approved vendors.

Customer satisfaction:

- Coordinate with customer departments to understand their requirements.

- Ensure that the procured material is supplied to the business as per specified quality, quantity and timelines.

Quality Assurance and Controls:

- Creation of metrics to track the performance of supply chain in Agri business.

- Ensuring adherence to SOPs.

Educational Qualification and experience:

- Preferably should be a pass out from Indian Institute of Packaging.

- Should have a minimum of 8-10 years of experience.

- Should have hands on experience in packaging development and procurement.

The Industry to be hired from:

- Agrochemicals, Pharma, FMCG and Chemical Industries.

Experience range from 5-12 years

Qualification: Any Graduate with packaging diploma from IIP will get advantage.
