Job Location- Gurgaon

Experience: 7 to 12 years

Work Timings- 12:30PM to 09:30PM.

Non-Financial Regulatory Reporting Controls Testing

- Operations Risk & Controls is an internal function within the Global Banking & Markets Operations business that works closely with all its functions and strives to build a strong control environment, around the day-to-day activities performed by these functions, through various initiatives on pro-active risk management.

- The team acts as a control function by performing independent testing to ensure robust governance and appropriate oversight process is in place. The control testing is performed on the Regulatory Reports sent out to various regulatory bodies globally to determine the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reports prepared by the Global Banking & Markets Operation's teams.

Job Description -

- NFRR Controls Testing teams objective is to have a robust governance and oversight process to determine the completeness, accuracy and timeliness of regulatory reports prepared by the teams.

- The individual in this role would lead a team responsible for governance of the non-financial regulatory reporting (NFRR) inventory and the build out of control processes and execution of scripts for test of control assurance of the completeness and accuracy of the NFRR produced by Operations. 


- The role will involve performing quality checks on these regulatory reports produced to avoid the risk of potential reporting errors which could result in regulatory fines and reputational risk. The role has high visibility within Operations and there is significant interaction with support partners such as Internal Audit, Compliance and Technology.

- This role involves ensuring adequate staffing levels and service level agreements are met in a timely manner to drive client delight. Responsible for: expense and performance management, process excellence, turnover, reporting, and forecasting trends to drive efficiencies. Monitors internal processes and leverages six sigma methodology to drive efficiencies and streamline processes. Manage compliance and audit controls to ensure mitigation of risk to the Bank. Increase six sigma utilization to enhance process excellence. Provides leadership and direction to teams ensuring swift adoption. Must lead people to perform, translate strategy into tactical action plans, recruit and grow talent while staying client focused.

Responsibilities-

- Ability to understand the functionality of the tests being conducted

- To complete QA testing for various reports per the departments calendar/schedule in a time bound manner without any deviations.

- Reporting/Escalation of testing discrepancies, issues and/or questions to appropriate SME contact.

- Ability to work independently & challenge the Line of business with the gaps identified as applicable.

- To work closely with Onshore and Offshore Processes and test effectiveness of Regulatory Reports.

- Ensure that all testing documentation is audit compliant.

- Developing and producing metrics and analytics on regulatory reporting issues and testing results

- Leads people to perform and develops employees. Manages staffing requirements, performance management, budget/expense management, reporting and forecasting for areas managed

- Responsible for understanding and coordinating escalations in a timely manner for quick and accurate resolution.

Requirements-

- Understanding on various Regulators governing Investment Banking.

- Knowledge and experience for executing test scripts/ reporting

- Candidate should be able to work independently and meet the stringent timelines self driven.

- Eye for detail and good analytical & interpretation skills.

- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.

- Sound knowledge on MS office tools such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Global Markets Product Knowledge an added advantage

- 3-5 years of overall experience, with atleast 2 years of relevant experience.

- Certifications If Any Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint would be added advantage

Experience Range- 3 to 5 years of overall experience, with atleast 2 years of relevant experience. Should have lead a small/medium group of employees

- Mandatory skills- Performed testing / prepared test scripts for control testing

- Strong domain knowledge on Global Markets and (or) Operational Risk Management

- Good understanding of Trade life Cycle

- Strong People Management Skills

- Desired skills- Understanding on Regulatory Reporting Requirements

- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Access
