Job Summary :

- Assist in preparing the annual / rolling business plan

- Decision Support, business case analysis, cost benefit analysis

- Segmental profitability analysis and Activity Based Costing

- Provide analytics support to business managers

- Business analysis through Oracle Business Intelligence Tool

- Ensure delivery of cost reduction initiatives by tracking cost metrics

Key Responsibilities :

- Assist in preparing the annual / rolling business plan along with detailed assumptions build-up

- Management of budgets as well as proactive budgetary control covering all critical cost items ensuring control on costs before the spend

- Benchmark cost metrics with competitors to monitor trends and evaluate cost structure

- Provide in-depth information to facilitate regular business reviews

- Provide analytical support for all the key business initiatives covering entire gamut of business drivers

- Preparing segmental profitability analysis, sales channels- economic performance, discussion of the same with channel/function heads and e ensuring proactive approach for minimal variances

- Effective usage of Oracle Business Intelligence system implemented for business analysis

- Support business managers in tracking, reviewing and reporting performance w.r.t plans and assist them in strategic decision making

- In-depth variance analysis and cause-and-effect analysis

Desired Competencies :

- Proficiency on working in MS - Office (High on Excel, Access, Word & Power Point)

- Preferable exposure to Financial Systems e.g. Oracle financials and Business Intelligence Tools e.g. Cognos, Oracle BI, Business Objects,

- High on analytical, prioritization and organizational skills

- Customer centricity

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and team working skills

- Proactive with ability to speedily understand business and its information needs

- Problem solving & decision making abilities

- Working with and through others

- Ability to multitask

Job Requirements :

Minimum Education :

- CA (preferably from Big 4) / MBA Finance from premier institute with 2-7 years of similar experience in service industry

Minimum Experience :

- At least 3 to 7 years of related experience in a service organisation, preferably an insurance company
