In-house Role for a Litigation lawyer who has worked with Insurance Companies in Legal Capacity. Basic Functions - A lawyer will be responsible for preparing replies to Petitions, Legal /Ombudsman Notices, WS, for any policy/ claim related complaints, litigations &amp; consumer court cases etc. He is expected to handle various interactions with lawyers and law firms representing PNB MetLife PAN India. - He/She will also be additionally responsible for preparing/drafting recovery Notices, pertaining to Customers, Agents, Third parties, Vendors and Employees/x-employees etc. Will be expected to interact with internal stakeholders and PNP MetLife lawyers. - Lawyer will also be responsible for initiating legal proceedings towards recovery of all outstanding due to and against employees/agents (both current and past) of who has/had engaged in offenses of moral turpitude Essential Functions Position will be responsible for following Litigation Support tasks - Preparing replies to Petitions, Legal Notices, Ombudsman notices, Litigation reported against the company, preparing WS - Perform Pre-litigation support activities includes Legal notices and reply notices - Interfacing with external counsels, internal businesses/depts. - Regular communications with various organizations lines of businesses through emails and telephone calls (Briefing to the operations, Co-ordination with Compliance) - Handle cases filed by Organization - Co-ordinate Translations in/from local language with Vendors - Maintain electronic records of searches and communications - Education - Law Graduate with a minimum of 15 years of education. - Work Experience Requirements (Years) - Minimum 4 years of experience in handling hardcore Litigation and well versed with courts procedures. - Excellent understanding of working Legal - Litigation processes &amp; flows, - Problem Solving/Analytical Ability, Logical mindset - Excellent drafting and research skills. - Judgment and Decision Making - Handle Multiple Task/Time Mgt. - English reading, writing and spoken - MS Office skills, Good Computer and Internet (e.g., email and databases) - Eye for detail while performing audits
