Assistant Manager/Lead/Senior Lead - Actuarial Model Development - Life Insurance

WE are Hiring for Actuarial Model Development Life Insurance Leading Asset Management Firm-Remote working

We have AM/Lead and Sr Lead position

Looking candidate RAFM, but Prophet modelling would also do

Mandatory -

- 8+ years of relevant Actuarial experience

- Qualified Actuary (or close to qualified)

- Experience of developing or enhancing financial models.

- Experience of MoSes, RAFM, Prophet (or other) actuarial software packages would be advantageous.

- Good MS Excel & MS Word knowledge.

- A working knowledge of VBA, SSIS, SQL would be advantageous but not essential.

- Work well as part of a team.

- Experience of communicating findings and results of analyses in the appropriate format to ensure understanding, determining the most appropriate message and delivery method.

- Experience of disseminating quality information to internal stakeholders.

- Experience of the production of financial results and the implementation of financial controls.

- Experience of providing financial information and technical communication materials to support planning and decision making.

- Some knowledge of Prudential products, systems and distribution methods would be useful but not essential.

- Working knowledge of Unit Linked and With Profits.

- Knowledge of life and pensions products, and IFRS and SII reporting.

- An understanding of the commercial implications of decisions.

- Experience of IFRS 17 would be beneficial.

- This role requires strong numerical and analytical skills and is suited to someone who has previous practical experience across a range of Finance specialisms building practical experience and a broader understanding of the function and/or wider business.

- Ability to interpret simple actuarial formulae

- Understanding and knowledge of actuarial procedures

- Some level of business influence skills like commercial appreciation and attitude required.

- Some level of understanding of the financial dynamics of our business and how key factors influence the various financial measures.

- Reasonable knowledge of insurance industry related products like Annuities, Bonds, Lifetime Mortgage.
