JOB PURPOSE:

The Assistant Key Account Manager will work with a set of assigned brands and will be responsible for buying products from these brands and selling them to retail sellers on Ecommerce Marketplace delivering aligned revenue and profitability. The successful candidate will need to develop a strong understanding of the brands' products and pricing strategies and create relationships with the brands' key stakeholders to ensure a steady supply of products.

Roles and Responsibilities-

We expect the Assistant Key Account Manager to do the following on a regular basis:

1. Regular engagements with brands including in-person meeting on a monthly basis

2. Work with assigned brands to manage the purchase of their products and ensure timely delivery to retail sellers on Ecommerce Marketplace.

3. Develop a strong understanding of the brands' products and pricing strategies to negotiate favourable terms.

4. Build and maintain strong relationships with the brands' key stakeholders, including product managers and sales teams, to ensure a steady supply of products.

5. Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.

6. Collaborate with retail sellers on Ecommerce Marketplace to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues.

7. Provide regular updates to management on sales performance and market trends.

8. Highlighting escalating issues with brands, competitors to internal leaders and brand leadership

9. Ensuring vendor experience issues are addressed promptly these could be around access to information/data, payments, MIS reports, promotion plans, etc

10. Planning for events and promotions including getting support from brands

Desired Candidate Profile

Education:

MBA in marketing, or a related field

Relevant experience:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably in an Ecommerce distribution company or aggregator.

- Knowledge of Ecommerce Marketplace's retail platform and experience working with retail sellers is preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.

- Analytical skills to monitor and analyse sales data and identify trends and opportunities for growth.

- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in a team environment.

- Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities one of several roles; quantitative/financial analysis, retail buying, retail planning & allocation, product/project management, pricing, marketing or e-commerce.

- Proficiency in Excel, Proven analytical skills and highly numerate.

- Proven Negotiation Skills.

- Proven experience leading teams and cross-functional projects.

- Ability to think and react in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.

- Ability to operate simultaneously and effectively in both tactical and strategic modes.

- A willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done.

- The position requires and individual who can work autonomously in a demanding and often ambiguous environment, with strong attention to detail and effective prioritization.

Required Skills & Expertise:

- Will be responsible for buying from the retailers and selling to the resellers

- Responsible for connecting the retail vendors with sellers.

- Incumbent must be from aggregation background.
