Assistant Manager - IT Project - Finance

Job Role: Assistant Manager- IT Project India

Overall role purpose

To ensure that all business cases in scope of the role are supported by robust and comprehensive analysis. Ensure that the IT Investment Board is provided with all information and analysis to work within the overall affordability constraints of IT

Key accountabilities and deliverables

- Collect data for BC completion

- Liaise with Functional Finance teams to ensure robustness of benefits data

- Liaise with FET to understand overall shape of portfolio and agree where interventions are required to maximise ROI/meet targets

- Collate information to understand root cause

- Generate insight to propose actions to address required intervention

- Drive operational interactions with Clusters regarding in scope business cases to ensure that they are in possession of all relevant information.

- Gather their feedback and ensure that this is considered in the business case.

- Co-ordinate data collection and analysis of all in scope projects requiring post launch evaluation.

- Own central repository of post launch evaluations and ensure that these outputs are incorporated into future business cases.

- Drive comprehensive handover of business case actions post approval to FET (interCo charge outs etc).

Knowledge and skills - desired:

- Knowledge of a wide range of financial processes with good aptitude for Outsourcing and virtual working of particular importance is a working knowledge of IT and it's cost drivers.

- Part Qualified accountant (or by experience)

- Excellent analytical skills

- Excel

- Decision tree analysis

- Multi scenario business cases

Experience - desired:

- Decision support / business case modelling in a complex environment

- Working in a matrix reporting environment

- Strong inter-personal, communication and influencing skills

- The role a would benefit from strong supplier facing skills and may have interaction with external service providers
