Job Title: Assistant Manager [Inspection]
Qualification: CA
Main Responsibilities:
1. Quarterly selection of members for inspection visits
Collate exchange data to assess risk and categorize members into different buckets.
Prioritize members, and prepare quarterly inspection
Calendar/schedule as per selection criteria approved by Exchange/SEBI.
Draft approval note and share inspection dates with respective regional inspection teams.
Co-ordinate for visit date to member office and prepare the intimation letter to member.
2. Inspection
Review and update methodology for conduct of inspection
Quarterly updation of inspection checklist
Monitoring of Inspection service standards for the Regional Offices
Handling queries from regional Offices regarding inspection methodology and process.
Handling Member queries w.r.t. compliance requirements.
3. Risk Based Supervision (RBS)
Issuance of half yearly circular for RBS submission
Coordination with IT department for maintenance/development of RBS system
Coordination with various departments for RBS submission
Review and checking of RBS data and the assessment
Sharing of RBS assessment details with SEBI
Handling queries from regional Offices/Members regarding RBS
4. Data collation and analysis for daily reports and adhoc requests
Collate data to cater to the request raised by external regulators like SEBI and various internal departments.
Collate and analyse data from other exchanges and internal departments for Monthly Development report, Monthly Activity report, SEBI annual/ half yearly report to be sent to SEBI.
Collation of data to be displayed on website as regards action initiated against member
5. Internal Audit
Handling activities relating to internal Audit.
Issuance of half yearly circulars and reminders for submitting the Report.
Analysis of Internal Audit Report.
Sending IOMs to the accounts department for debiting the penalty from the members.
Handling member queries w.r.t Internal Audit.
6. Limited Purpose Inspections (LPI)
Deciding the scope for conducting Limited Purpose Inspections.
Reviewing the Inspection Reports received from the Regional Offices.
Sharing of LPI details with SEBI wherever required.
Monitoring and follow-ups for the conduct of LPIs.
7. Proactive Compliance monitoring
Review of UCC database and taking up with Members for its updation and correction.
Reviewing the trading terminal details and communicating the terminal details to the trading members where no trades have been executed on the terminals for a longer period and also asking them to review the same and take necessary action within the given due date.
Offsite supervision of Members
Handholding of Members with consistent weak compliance levels- Resilience Process
8 Other Activities
Coordination with other departments for compliance matters
Taking part in various departmental initiatives
Actively taking part in the various projects undertaken by the department
