Assistant Manager (Indirect Taxation)

Responsibilities:

- Ensure timely and accurate compliance with all applicable indirect tax laws and regulations, including GST, Customs, MOVER, Central Excise, VAT, Service Tax, SEZ, and FTP.

- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to optimize indirect tax positions and minimize tax risks for the organization.

- Conduct regular assessments of indirect tax risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to ensure compliance and minimize exposure to potential liabilities.

- Stay abreast of developments in indirect tax laws and regulations, industry trends, and best practices, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

- Preparation of opinion / note / memo on any indirect tax issues / business transactions.

- To work on special advisory assignments such as Health checks, Tax due diligences etc.

- Handling litigation matters like reply to SCN, preparation of appeals, assessments etc.

- Filing returns.

Qualification And Experience:

1. CA or CWA or LLB with minimum of 2 years of extensive experience in Indirect Taxation, with a focus on GST, Customs, Central Excise, MOVER, VAT, Service Tax, SEZ, and FTP.

2. Strong technical knowledge of indirect tax laws and regulations, along with a demonstrated ability to apply them in a business context.

3. Proven track record in business development, including acquiring new clients and expanding service offerings.

4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and senior management.
