Profile for the Position of Assistant Manager (Indirect Taxation)
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Providing compliance services ensuring adherence to provisions of GST laws & other Indirect Taxation laws
- Rendering business advisory services to the clients under the GST & Indirect Taxation Laws in India
- Carrying out comprehensive GST & indirect tax reviews for the clients
- Working effectively on critical client issues along with the team
- Regular review of deliverables prepared by team members.
- Managing GST refund/ SEIS/ MEIS assignments
- Effectively handle overall timelines and quality deliverable to the clients and manage client accounts independently.
- Developing and maintaining relationship with clients and regulatory authority and act as POC for escalation and other client issue
- Handling litigation matters of clients including drafting replies to show cause notices, drafting appeals, attending personal hearing, representing the client before authorities, etc.
- MIS preparation and tracking billings and receivables.
- Providing BD support by preparing proposals and pitch presentations
- Mentoring/ guiding AMs, consultants and trainees of the team
- Conducting regular technical trainings/ knowledge sharing sessions within team
- Supporting Directors in article writing
Desired Profile:Education: CA/ LLB with relevant exposure in Indirect Tax- 5-6 years of post-qualification experience in GST and Customs including FTP, Service Tax, Central Excise, VAT/ CST
- Working knowledge of GST Portal
- Possess in-depth knowledge of Indirect Tax laws including FTP.
- Experience in compliance, advisory and litigation.
Skill Set:
- Good communication skills (Verbal & Written) and fluent in Gujarati.
- Client facing experience with ability to build good relationship with them.
- Leadership and people management skills
- Strong MS Excel skills, along with good working knowledge of other MS Office programs
- Readiness to travel outstation in Gujarat.
