As the Assistant Manager - Finance, you will take ownership of all financial operations and accounting transactions. You will also be responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, compliance and closing of books of accounts.
The other responsibilities will be as follows:
- Ensuring that Accounts are accurately prepared within timelines and in accordance with local regulations
- Regular preparation and review of trial balance and various schedules giving break - up of the required information
- Reviewing of AP and AR controls and ensuring correct accounting and realization
- Participating in quarterly forecasting process including annual target setting
- Accountable for system controls, adherence to the policies and SOPs in all areas having a financial impact
- Moving from transaction controls to design controls and thus elevate the usage of system control framework to enhance the analytical capabilities of the Finance team
- Finalizing all statutory reports and ensuring appropriate filing
- Following up with debtors and researching on cash receipts, coding and posting of receipts
- Overseeing client trust accounts, accounts receivable write-offs and payment reversals
- Providing inputs to various stakeholders on periodic basis on cost and headcount
- Providing appropriate site overviews and providing financial guidance / assistance to leadership team on various issues
- Ensuring timely completion of all audits
- Coordinating internal control questionnaire audits, group internal audits, follow up on audit comments and assisting in implementing corrective action wherever necessary
- Handling banking relationships and finding improvement opportunities
- Managing Funds and cash flow management
- Creating, maintaining and reporting out dashboard for MEP showing revenue/product growth indicators
- Overseeing the continuous improvement of Accounting and Financial Processes on new updates
Candidate Profile:
- Chartered Accountants (CA's) preferred
- 2-4 years of post CA experience & 1-2 years of Big 4 experience
- Exposure to corporate finance, statutory audit is a great add on
- Have a flare for numbers, and work well with people
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to deal with large volume of data
- Strong experience in MIS, Financial Modeling, Taxation, Statutory Compliances
- Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
