Assistant Manager - Finance

Role Overview:

We are seeking a result oriented Financial executive with 5plus years of expertise in handling financial functions - establishing control, budgeting & MIS, commercial finance, customer credit, accounts finalization, Handling Audit, indirect/direct tax compliance and optimization and accounts payables.

Skills in formulating and implementing effective Corporate Governance frameworks.

Comprehensive expertise in formulating & implementing Accounting Policies/Procedures, Taxation Principles & Statutory Compliances with the ability to relate theory with practice.

Location - Lower Parel, Mumbai

Key Responsibilities:

- Finance Operations for Inventory-led business: Vendors on-boarding, other commercial terms like marketing spends, discounts, credit period, returns for slow moving and damaged inventory, etc.

- Vendor management which includes timely processing of payments, timely and accurate raising of Invoices, periodic account reconciliation.

- Inventory Management including regular monitoring of quantity and quality of inventory and sharing regular updates with category teams for necessary corrective action.

- Commercial Billing: Billing distributors, channel partners and other commercial stakeholders.

- Collections Management: Payment Gateway Operations management including negotiation on commercial terms, ensuring settlements are received as per TATs agreed, reconciliations with receivables and timely response on chargeback claims.

- Customer Refunds: Ensuring timely refunds for all cancelled and returned orders, providing timely input to Customer Service team on the refunds processed with ARN details and handling customer escalation cases

- Logistics expense Management: Ensure complete control over Logistics expenses for Forward and Return transactions including charges for COD collections.

- This involves detailed validation of Logistic partner Invoices as per weight and transit zone of the shipments and also detailed analysis of actual expenses against provisions.

- Accounts finalisation on quarterly and annual basis and tax related compliances

- MIS preparation

- Handling statutory and internal audit

Ideal Candidate Profile:

- CA

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Team Management, Commercial Finance function in ECom, Modern Trade, General Trade with a focus on Food brands within the packaged foods or personal care sector.

- Experience with e-grocery platforms is a bonus.

- Excellent analytical and collaboration skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
