Assistant Manager - EHS - Chemical Firm

Currently, we have an excellent opportunity with one of the MNC company in Chemical industry.

Location - Pune

Designation - AM-EHS

Roles & Responsibilities :

Reporting to: Site EHS Manager

Primary Qualification:

- Bachelor degree in Chemical / Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or Master degree in Chemistry

- 8 to 10 years of working experience (Preferred with MNC)

- Minimum 5 years of Experience in EHS specialization

- Fluent in English & Hindi (Written and Verbal)

- Knowledge of local language will be added value

- A sound in Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Core Responsibilities:

- Prepare and implement EHS orientation modules for new own & contractual employees.

- Prepare Tool-box talk materials on relevant topics and conduct Toolbox meetings.

- Deliver EHS training to own & Contractual employees, Maintain training records and conduct training effectiveness assessment.

- Conduct internal Safety audits with department/area owners, Record all the findings and follow-up for their Corrective & Preventive action plan

- Coordinate EHS committee meetings, Prepare & circulate MOM and follow-up all the actions agreed in the committee meetings.

- Monitor EHS KPIs on monthly basis, Prepare trend analysis of EHS KPIs and present it to HODs with improvement action plan.

- Prepare the monthly & quarterly EHS reports.

- Prepare, implement and monitor components of Emergency Preparedness

- Prepare, implement and monitor PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) matrix.

- Maintain the EHS systems as per ISO-14001 & OHSAS-18001

- Helping colleagues to conduct the risk assessment (Task Hazard Analysis, Process Risk Analysis etc.)

- Carrying out incident investigations and propose corrective actions to be implemented

- To track legal calendar and ensure compliance with license conditions.

- Conduct Pre-commissioning / Start-up Safety Reviews

- To monitor and maintain the performance of Effluent Treatment Plant with Zero Liquid Discharge system

- Safe Handling, Management, and Minimization of Hazardous Waste
