Assistant Manager/Deputy Manager - Strategic Sourcing

Industry Preference- FMCG or Pharma Industry

Qualification-Only MBA (Full Time-Tier 1 or Tier 2)

Strategic Sourcing:

- Conduct market research to understand the commodities linked to critical raw materials (RMs) to develop purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals.

- Monitor and analyze the market trends to support the category head in taking strategic decisions for finalising long-term contracts with vendors.

- Support the category head in development of quarterly and annual procurement strategies for critical raw materials (RMs).

- Develop and execute medium to long term procurement strategies for key RMs, ensuring sustainable sourcing and long-term supply chain stability.

- Continuously analyze import data to support the category head in developing sourcing strategies to balance between local and overseas vendors.

- Work closely with the Development team in price building for NPD's and in new vendor identification.

Procurement:

- Work with category heads to strategize and execute procurement plans for critical RMs.

- Responsible for analyzing market prices by managing and evaluating RFQs (Requests for Quotation) to ensure competitive sourcing.

- Lead contract negotiations with vendors of critical RMs, ensuring favourable terms and conditions in collaboration with the material manager.

- Assess potential risks in the supply chain, including price volatility, vendor reliability, and geopolitical factors, and develop mitigation plans for critical RMs.

- Work with vendors for RM categories to ensure sustainable procurement.

- Partner with material buyer to ensure PO's terms and conditions are adhered by the vendors.
