CLIENT Valuations under the TAS umbrella provides research support to CLIENT member firms on valuation engagements. The Valuations Team consists of people who all have a post-graduate degree in finance with past experience in corporate finance.
The Valuations Team was started in May 2008, working closely with CLIENT India, in supporting various aspects of a valuation project including multiples, WACC, DCF, company profiles, etc. The Team also helped with secondary research for business valuation engagements. In addition, the Team also works with country practices globally as well, such as UK, France, Germany, Australia, US, Canada, etc. The Team supports valuation engagements from a variety of industries including telecom, hospitality, financial services, entertainment, food and beverages, IT and metals and mining.

Job description:
The main objective is to achieve business growth by developing and maintaining strong working relationships with kClient business decision-makers, informing them of our scope of services and communicating how these services benefit their organizations.
Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Manage a team of 6-9 people
- Measure, monitor and improve client service by guiding team members and driving excellence in service delivery
- Focus teams on the kClient priorities while managing several medium to large-size projects
- Ensure smooth service delivery within the defined geographical area
- Ensure that team members deliver quality service as per client's needs and priorities
- Partner with internal and external clients to improve processes
- Work with project leaders to analyze resource needs and gaps across locations, and devise alternative ways forward
- Assign people to projects based on their skills, career goals and client's expectations
- Produce assignment budgets and timetables, and manage delivery against them
- Provide team members with accurate and useful guidance in technical areas of high risk and complexity
- Act as a counselor for team members
- Participate in goal setting, performance appraisal and management of counselees
- Identify L&D requirements of counselees
Competencies / skills:
- Have strong knowledge of accounting principles, valuation methodologies and financial management concepts
- Ability to source and analyze company and industry information from databases, news sources, industry trade groups and analyst research
- Experience in conducting market, industry and economic research and preparing research reports
- Have significant project and client management experience
- Have knowledge of research databases like CapitalIQ, Factset, Factiva, Thomson, Onesource etc
- Have a sound grasp of MS Excel; a natural interest in working and learning to use it to an advanced level
- Proficient with other MS office tools - Word and Powerpoint
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Have an Cliente for detail and be able to work under pressure
- Have excellent written and spoken English skills, and be able to discuss and reason complex technical issues
- Actively promote the sharing of knowledge within the group

Job Specification:
Education & Experience:
- MBA/PG Diploma (Fin) with 4 to 5 yrs relevant experience of working on DCF & Relative Valuations projects
- Prior experience working in a financial research firm, investment bank, or corporate finance group performing valuation engagements
