- This is an exciting opportunity as Data Quality Specialist as part of Data & Analytics, which is tasked to develop strategy, define the framework and roll out tools for data governance within Data Lake


Client Details :

The Data and Analytics team is responsible for building data, data science and analytics as a core capability to help the business become data intelligent and drive business and organization performance. The team will deliver advanced products at scale and work closely with the market teams to ensure that decisions in Unilever are augmented with insight & recommendations wherever possible.

The Unilever Data Strategy exists for two primary reasons:

- To actively organise, govern and manage our Data assets across the business, and To maximise the growth and value that can be delivered through the power of this Data.

- Unilever Data Strategy has a clear vision: 'to help make Unilever "Data Intelligent", harnessing the power of data to deliver our Compass Goals'. An extensive program of workstreams was set up as a result to achieve two underlying goals.

- To minimise the risk to the company from potential data misuse (Data Defence) and To maximise the business value generated through more efficient and effective use of our data. This drives our Digital Transformation and powers our growth (Data Offence).

- As data is a critical asset hence poor data quality costs Unilever with loss of opportunity and not being able to trust the for data-driven decision making. Additionally, teams spend time "fixing" data downstream - losing productivity, operational inefficiencies and rework or triggering retrospective data remediation.

The strategic aim for Data Quality is to support the Unilever Compass: Purpose-Led, Future-Fit. The Unilever Data Quality Management Framework will ensure:

- Data quality management activities enable Unilever to deliver its vision and strategy

- High-quality data around customers, consumers, suppliers, products, projects and regulations is an organizational mandate


- Data quality facilitates Unilever making fast first-time right decisions


Description :

JOB SUMMARY :

The role has three main accountabilities :

- Liaise across functional teams to elicit the requirements and create a prioritization funnel based on the agreed prioritization model. Manage the delivery of the requirements via factory and central DQ team. Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies to deliver at speed.

- Specifically, this role will be responsible to work across various stakeholders, UniOps in market, Functional Leads, Product Owners and Product managers to understand data quality requirements and manage the delivery of the requirements with driving improvements on data quality.

- Serve with Data Quality at the heart of everything to trusted data reaches the Products, Functions and Markets who provide products solutions that rapidly solve for business issues.


- A key contributor to implementation roadmap & delivery module of the Data Quality Solution


- Engage with functional SMEs, Markets, Product teams on gathering data requirements as part of overall demand management for Data Quality


- Working with the technical delivery team is translating the requirements


- Track Data Quality Metrics


- Play a key role in the change management (ways of working within & outside D&A - partnering with Functions, UDL, BDL & PDS teams) required to ensure landing of DQ Solutions.

Profile :

KEY REQUIREMENTS :

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded analytics professional. They will have a good knowledge of operations and value chain in a consumer goods company, that is complemented by working knowledge of data management, data strategy, data quality , data governance and emerging technologies required to deliver a world class data service. Most importantly, the ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and ability to work with peers and demonstrate vertical and lateral influence and will enjoy rolling their sleeves up to drive towards outcomes.

Relevant Experience :

- Overall experience of 4-6 years preferred with exposure to Unilever's data landscape


- Azure experience mandatory with exposure to SQL or Power BI


- Strong track record of working with cross functional teams and multiple workstreams and meet project deadlines.


- Experience in Agile ways of working


- Good functional knowledge of datasets used in Unilever (any Function/s)


- Ability to convert business requirements into sharp analytics briefs to enable request for proposal, identify right partners to work with and make choice of partner basis stringent technology and business parameters.


- Ability to drive multiple internal and external stakeholder connects while holding relevant teams accountable for commitments


- Ability to challenge solutions offered and recommend best approach to suit business needs.


- Ability to troubleshoot problems with agility working with multiple stakeholders.


- Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously in a highly VUCA and competitive market


- Passion for learning and adapt to Data Quality metrics.
