The Role:
This role will Assistant Manager - Compliance & Labour Relations will Conduct periodic internal reviews to ensure that compliance procedures are followed. It Will ensure that Assessment & Interpretation of Labour Law amendments are followed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tracking compliance % though internal tool
- Identify compliance issues that require follow-up or investigation
- Preparation of monthly report for internal circulation
- Point of contact for stakeholders to communicate, seek clarification on issues
- Planning and preparation for emerging compliance issues for immediate and appropriate resolutions
- Assessment & Interpretation of Labour Law amendments and their impact on business in collaboration with Legal Team
- Analyze trends in compliance and devise a corresponding action plan
- Collaborate with stakeholders to respond to various Notices from state / enforcement Authorities ensuring closure on the gaps or any complaints
- Deal with bank, police and other notices in collaboration with legal
- Work along with risk and compliance team to ensure timely filing of returns and challans as prescribed under statutes
- Provide information / guidance to risk and compliance team as required
- Preparation of annual holiday calendar for PAN India Locations in compliance with state notifications
- Proactive preparation w.r.t labour codes and related emerging changes
- Collaborates with stakeholders on matters of policy
- POSH
- Develop & Execute SOPs and related documents for ensuring POSH compliance across the enterprise.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders (Legal, Compliance, ER) for organization-wide governance and compliance of POSH policy/ guideline and regulations
- Regularly track changes in POSH regulations, keep the management abreast of the same and steer appropriate changes in the organization's POSH process and guidelines to ensure adherence to the same
- Collaborate for contract renewals of external partners for POSH matters, as required.
Skills Required:
- Detailed understanding of various labour laws applicable in various States of India, both State and Central legislations, for implementation and adherence
- Hands-on experience of representation
- At tribunals for deposition
- At offices of enforcement agencies as authorized representative
- Detailed understanding of Disciplinary procedure and enquiries
- In depth understanding of provisions of POSH Act
- Strong knowledge of HR policies & procedures
- In-depth knowledge of employment legislation
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Great verbal and written communications skills
- Meticulous attention to detail, quality, and follow-through; strong interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving, negotiation & influencing skills
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree in labour relations, business management or human resources
- 10 to 12 years of experience employee relations or industrial relations
- Experience in labour statutory legislation compliances and adherences
