Assistant Manager - Commercial - Manufacturing

The incumbent will be responsible for :

- Identifying potential suppliers, visiting existing suppliers, and building and maintaining good relationships with them. Conducting research to ascertain the best products and suppliers in terms of best value, delivery schedules and quality.

- Finalization of Annual Rate Contract / Annual Maintenance Contract.

- Minimizing inventory carrying cost through Effective Supply Chain Management.

- Continuous evaluation of material procurement and consumption trends.

- Negotiate the orders to optimize the best value for money and create the value.

- Periodical review of long term with respect to market trend.

- Ensure the ethical and rightful practice in procurement strategy.

- Ensure compliance to applicable laws to ensure the organization's interest are protected at optimal level.

- To help in inventory reduction.

- Achieve optimum lead time in procurement to payment (P2P) cycle including Ordering, Review, Execution, Receiving, Inspection, Rejection & Replacement, payment.

- Ensure the credibility of the organization while dealing with outside organization as representative of the organization.

- Motivate & Guide the team member for target-oriented performance and delivery of results.

- Management of existing vendors delivery, performance and cost and new vendor development.

- Timely and proper dispatch of all scrap material

- Ensure the strategic procurement practice is in place and reviewed periodically to cover adequately the stock out risk.

- Ensure Cost reduction and Cost Control.

- On time right quality and quantity delivery of material.

- To lead and develop the team members for higher responsibility.

- To evaluate and develop alternative procurement practice to optimize cost and improve the quality.

- Co-ordinate and associate with co-members to help for achievement of their goal and ultimate contribution to organization goal.

- Procuring various goods and services consistent with established procedures and practices assigned by the purchasing department.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Graduate /PG /BE with MBA in Material Management

- 6 -8 yrs of experience of handling Commercial in a plant setup

- Candidate with prior experience in agri input, chemical, pharma, the cement industry will only be considered

- Proficient in SAP and MS Office

- Well versed to P2P system
