Assistant Manager - Business Valuation

Job description (JD):

Job Title: Assistant Manager - Business Valuation

Location: Mumbai/Gurgaon

Reporting to: Manager

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and coach a team of valuation professionals.

- Execute valuation engagements (PPA, goodwill impairment, stock options, etc.).

- Manage workflow, delivery, and team utilization.

- Perform audit reviews and appraise third-party valuation reports.

- Ensure high-quality, timely project delivery.

- Responsible for execution of end-to -end valuation engagements incl. PPA - ASC 805/IFRS3, goodwill and asset impairment analyses (ASC 350/360/IFRS36), valuations of stock options under IRC - 409A and ASC 718/IFRS9.

- Build strong relationships with onshore stakeholders.

- Contribute to team-level initiatives and knowledge-sharing.

Skills & Qualifications:

Mandatory:

- Expertise in business and intangible asset valuation.

- Strong financial modeling and GAAP/IFRS knowledge.

- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

- Team leadership and multi-tasking ability.

- Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

- Experience with research databases (Capital IQ, Thomson Reuters).

Preferred:

- Positive attitude and ability to meet tight deadlines.

- Strong interpersonal skills for team collaboration.

Other Details:

- Education: CA / CFA / MBA (Finance & Investment Management).

- Experience: 4-8 years in business valuation.

- Interview Process: 4 rounds.
