Assistant Manager - Business Development Mumbai


Business Development :


- Drive Business Development in the designated territory for Power / Energy Exchange-related products.


- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities to expand market participation.

- Contribute to the execution and implementation of marketing strategies and promotional activities.

- Keeping track of competition and dynamic marketplace. Open to extensive travelling within the assigned business territory to increase the client base.

- Support the implementation of new products and services to enhance market offerings.

Market Operations :

- Candidate must be well conversant with Open Access Regulations and transactions.

- Coordinate with market participants to resolve operational issues and provide support.

- Monitor market performance and implement improvements as needed.

Regulatory Compliance :

- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and guidelines set by CERC and appropriate authorities.

- Stay updated on regulatory changes and its implications.

- keep track of Regulatory development and be able to track competitor clients and Transactions.

Stakeholder Management :

- Build and maintain relationships with market participants, including generators, distributors, and consumers.

- Address queries and concerns from stakeholders promptly and effectively.

- Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings, forums, and events.

Team Collaboration :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve business targets and organizational goals.

- Foster a collaborative and positive work environment

Desired Candidate Profile :

Educational Qualification :


- Must have completed a B.E. /B. Tech Electrical / Energy / Power OR MBA in Power/Energy Stream Preferable.

Work Experience :


- Min 3-5+ years of working experience in business development, with a proven track record of success in the power sector or closely related industries of Renewable energy companies. Previous experience in power sales, trading, or renewable energy will be highly valued.

- Strong understanding of the power trading, scheduling, billing, tariffs and regulatory landscape.

- Thorough knowledge of Power sales & Power /Electricity Trading, how power is sold and Understand Power /Energy Exchange Operations as well. Should have an idea about the new, upcoming trends in India's energy, renewable sector.

- Smart, confident & presentable for this BD position, which required frequent travelling & meeting senior professionals.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team with effective time management and the ability to prioritise tasks. Ability to adapt to changing business needs and work in a fast-paced environment.
