Assistant Manager - Accounts - CA

Job Purpose:

To support the finance team by streamlining payment processes, ensuring accuracy in vendor payments, and managing reconciliations. This role requires expertise in GST credit management, thorough checking mechanisms, and vendor account maintenance. The individual will also contribute to enhancing compliance with direct and indirect taxes while collaborating with senior management to improve payment systems.

Key Responsibilities:

- Streamline payment workflows to ensure efficiency and timeliness.

- Implement maker/checker processes for improved accountability and detailed review before payments.

- Conduct detailed vendor reconciliations to maintain accurate accounts.

- Ensure GST credits are promptly utilized for vendor payments.

- Perform thorough checks on all payment documents to comply with regulatory requirements.

- Support indirect and direct tax compliance, including timely submissions and audits.

- Identify and implement improvements to payment systems for operational efficiency.

- Provide data-driven insights to senior management for better financial decision-making.

- Leverage SAP for accurate reporting, tracking, and maintaining financial data.

- Train and guide team members on SAP functionalities where required.

Key Skills and Competencies:

- Strong knowledge of financial processes, including vendor payments and reconciliations.

- In-depth understanding of GST credits and tax compliance.

- Proficiency in SAP for accounts management.

- Excellent analytical and attention-to-detail skills.

- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) with a proven track record in accounts management.

- Experience in working with payment workflows, audits, and compliance for vendor payments.

- Previous experience in ERP environments, particularly SAP, SAP Hana is essential.
