Experience 16-20 yrs (10+ years in solar project design with at least 5 years in a leadership role)

Division - Solar EPC Division

Job Summary:

The AGM - Solar Design is responsible for overseeing all design and engineering aspects of solar photovoltaic (PV) projects. This role involves leading a team of design engineers to ensure that all designs meet industry standards and project requirements. The AGM will coordinate with various departments to ensure successful project execution, manage the design process from conception through to implementation, and ensure quality and innovation in solar design.

Experience:

- Proficiency in Solar Design Software: Extensive experience with solar design software such as PVsyst and AutoCAD is essential.

- Experience: Demonstrated experience in managing solar PV projects collectively exceeding 1GW, with at least one single project of 200MW or more.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Management:

- Lead the development and optimization of comprehensive solar PV system designs.

- Ensure designs comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

- Review and approve design documents, technical specifications, and drawings.

2. Project Coordination:

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, construction, and project management, to align design specifications with project goals and timelines.

- Facilitate communication between design teams and other departments to resolve any issues and ensure smooth project execution.

3. Quality Assurance:

- Implement and enforce quality control measures throughout the design phase.

- Conduct regular design reviews and audits to maintain high standards and address any potential design issues.

4. Team Leadership:

- Mentor and manage the design team, providing guidance and support to foster professional growth and development.

- Ensure efficient workflow and effective collaboration within the design team.

5. Innovation:

- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in solar technology and design practices.

- Incorporate best practices and innovative solutions to enhance design efficiency and effectiveness

- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical and structural principles as applied to solar applications.

- Leadership & Management: Proven ability to lead and manage a design team effectively, with excellent leadership and communication skills.

- Project Management: Strong project management abilities, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate across various departments.

- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Ability to stay updated with industry trends and incorporates innovative practices into solar design processes.
