HPL Additive is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in technical sales, marketing, and business development, with a proven track record in the chemical and additive industries. This role will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing new market opportunities, and managing relationships with key clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Market and Sales Development:
- Identify, research, and classify prospective clients based on product needs, applications, and regions.
- Target new business segments by developing effective sales strategies.
- Regularly visit clients to provide technical assistance and product education.
- Prepare and manage monthly sales forecasts using SAP or CRM platforms like Salesforce.
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers by providing after-sales support and resolving client issues.
- Coordinate with distributors and agents to ensure the achievement of sales goals.
- Provide training and development for sales teams at distributor and agent locations.
Product Knowledge and Technical Expertise:
- Handle diverse product segments, including antioxidants, rubber chemicals, polymer modifiers, and UV stabilizers.
- Offer pre-sales technical assistance and after-sales services in segments such as automotive compounds, adhesives, polyurethane foams, and masterbatches.
- Liaise with technical and product teams to discuss opportunities, product qualifications, and challenges.
Market Strategy and Competitor Analysis:
- Track and report on customer and competitor activities, providing insights to the management team.
- Represent the company at trade shows, seminars, and conferences, such as PlastIndia and Chinaplast, to promote products and gather market intelligence.
Sales Coordination:
- Prepare tenders, negotiate contracts, and manage the sales process to meet both customer and company needs.
- Analyze cost, sales performance, and prepare visit reports for management review.
- Participate in annual budget planning and collaborate with the product management team.
Key Qualifications:
- MBA in Sales & Marketing or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Proven experience (10+ years) in sales and marketing, particularly in the chemical, polymer, or additives industry.
- Expertise in technical sales with a strong understanding of market segments such as automotive, packaging, and industrial applications.
- Experience working with CRM systems like Salesforce and ERP systems like SAP.
Skills and Competencies:
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong project management and leadership abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis.
