Objectives of the role: Associate General Manager - HR - UDS


- The primary objective is to strategically manage all aspects of HR operations with a strong emphasis on talent acquisition, management, and organizational development.


- Key responsibilities include driving recruitment to attract top talent, aligning HR policies with values and enhancing performance management practices.


- The role also entails mitigating employee grievances, optimizing workforce planning and contributing to developing and fostering a culture of high-trust and high-performance organization.


- AGM HR will closely collaborate with leadership teams across the company to support business objectives and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while continually and consistently striving for operational excellence and talent excellence.


The position will report to HR Head, UDS:


The Job:


- Manage HR operations by implementing effective recruitment strategies, which include leveraging impactful hiring practices, showcasing the companys branding initiatives and ensuring a continuous pipeline of qualified candidates for both current and future critical roles aligned with the organizations growth objectives.


- Additionally oversee the process of inducting, onboarding, providing support, counselling, and addressing disciplinary matters for employees.


- Proactively gather attrition data, analyse trends, and address issues to enhance employee engagement and retention.


- Create, develop, and update HR policies, procedures, and guidelines communicating, and reinforcing organizational core values fostering a positive, diverse, and inclusive culture.


- Support and improve PMS by collaborating with functional heads to set clear performance objectives, conduct regular appraisals /reviews and provide constructive feedback to employees; participate in compensation revision /promotion process and help functional heads finalize same in a harmonious working environment practising equity and fairness.


- Proactively identify and resolve potential employee relations issues across functions /geographies ensuring fair and consistent equal treatment of all employees while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.


- Manage and mitigate employee grievances by ensuring managers and the leaders create a psychologically safe environment for their team members


- Brainstorm ideas for establishing transparent communication channels and engagement initiatives aiming to cultivate a high trust environment boosting productivity through active participation and open conversations.


- Work closely with CCO and implement HR strategies by establishing team, functional and organizational accountabilities including workforce planning and per employee cost analysis to optimize resource allocation and adoption of lean management practices contributing to cost effectiveness and efficiency.


- Develop and oversee the HR operations budget, forecasting future requirements, analysing variances, and implementing corrective actions to ensure efficient resource utilization.


- Assist CCO in designing and delivering OD and L&D initiatives, processes and interventions that create, support, and foster a high-trust and high-performance culture across the company.


- Build strong relationships with functional heads and senior leadership team members, providing HR expertise and support to drive organizational initiatives and achieve business objectives.


- Plan periodical review with HR team and discuss on various issues, expectations and support required for achievement of business objectives.


- Support and assist CCO in Identifying and nurturing key talents within the company, developing succession plans and career progression pathways to ensure business continuity and talent pipeline development.


- Develop and administer skip level meetings and employee satisfaction surveys with action plans, promoting a positive organizational culture.


Requirements of the role-holder:


- MBA HR from a good school


- Minimum 12 years of post-qualification experience in business services sector


- Impactful communication skills


- MS Office and HRMS proficiency


- Feet on the ground approach with big picture thinking (strategic HR exposure)


- Good team management skills with a flair to connect effortlessly with functional heads and senior leadership team


- Ability to inspire and influence people, collaborate, and successfully drive initiatives


- Diligent and thorough professional, high level of integrity, smart and go-to person


- Ability to work in unstructured environments
