Assistant General Manager - Data Management

Responsibilities:

Logistics Master Data Management:

- Develop and implement strategies for effective management of logistics master data, encompassing vendor master data, customer master data, and other relevant logistics data sets.

- Oversee the creation, validation, and maintenance of accurate and consistent logistics master data.

- Enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data quality and integrity.

- Identify and implement data standardization practices to eliminate data inconsistencies.

Vendor & Customer Onboarding:

- Lead and manage the vendor and customer onboarding process, ensuring timely and accurate data capture.

- Develop and implement onboarding procedures and workflows to streamline data collection and integration.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Sales) to ensure smooth onboarding experiences.

Stakeholder Management & Leadership:

- Lead a team of data specialists, providing coaching and guidance to ensure efficient data management practices.

- Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team environment.

- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, communicating the importance of data quality and governance.

- Influence and drive adoption of data management best practices across various departments.

Qualifications:

- Master's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).

- Minimum 8 years of experience in Master Data Management (MDM) or related data management field.

- Proven experience in managing logistics master data, including vendor onboarding and customer onboarding processes.

- Strong understanding of data governance principles and best practices.

- Experience in developing and implementing data quality improvement initiatives.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.

- Demonstrated leadership ability with the capacity to motivate and guide a team.

- Proficiency in data management tools and methodologies (e. g. , MDM platforms, data cleansing tools).
