JOB TITLE: Asst. Fund Manager / Fund Manager Equity (Grade M/SM)

REPORTING TO (ROLE):Functional reporting to CIO

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB: Asst. Fund Manager / Fund Manager will be responsible for construction and management of the dedicated funds with inputs from the CIO. However, under the informal team approach, will be required to understand, manage and be responsible for all the Equity products offered by the AMC.

Will form an integral part in the local and global investment team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: The Asst. Fund Manager / Fund Manager will be accountable for the following :

- Responsible for the funds under management. Manage the cash positions of all the funds under the AMC

- Double up as a dealer for the Equity funds.

- Manage the current portfolio, advising on investments in Equities, Wealth and generation of ideas to actively manage the portfolios.

- Continuously provide the CIO with all kinds of market, credit and economy related news and information (domestic and overseas). Should be abreast with the competitors portfolio, and feed the CIO.

- Follow a disciplined approach to the investment process as laid down by the Investment Committee

- Should do all kinds of fundamental, technical and market analysis and be abreast with the latest developments in the market, both domestic and overseas.

- To constantly monitor the evolving economic environment with analysis on factors including liquidity, credit demand, primary issuances, secondary market activity, relative spreads across yield curve/credit ratings/issuer type, and other such relevant factors that could potentially impact portfolio implementation or trade execution strategy..

- Prepare the investment rationale for all investments made for all the Equity products.

- Preparation of all kinds of communication both internal and external relating to Equity Investments.

- Interaction with debt market brokers/investment bankers/other relevant market participants to have up-to-date and maximum possible market information on-demand/Supply/distribution dynamics

- Has to be a strong link in the MIS of the organization.

- Will be part of the Investment Committee (by invitation), along with other members and will provide valuable information regarding credit exposures. Preparation of internal presentations/reports as may be required from time to time.

- Should maintain a cordial relation with all the customers. Develop relationship across relevant market participants to keep a tab on the market pulse and understand Market positioning.

- At all times to ensure adherence to all regulatory and internal investment norms/requirements.

Job Description

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:




- Very high on integrity and ethical.

- An MBA from reputed Business school/University or a CA with good academic record. An Economics and Mathematics background is preferred.

- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Equity Investment and a working knowledge of equity market is essential. Experience as an Equity Dealer/Fund Manager in a mutual fund set-up preferred.

- Experience of working under the Bloomberg environment is preferred.

- Must have strong trading acumen and ability to work under pressure.

- Highly developed team mindset, self-motivated, ambitious, open-minded and dynamic.

- Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skill in front of both small and large groups.
