The Role :
The Assistant Director Human Resources will assist the Senior Director - HR in all aspects of HR operations and assists in providing a full range of human resource management services for all employees. This includes assisting in providing leadership and direction regarding personnel functions through the management of a comprehensive human resources administration including performance management, recruitment and employment services, and overseeing the people function through HR Business Partners.

The Assistant Director Human Resources will be responsible for these :
- Developing and Managing HR Processes:
One of the primary tasks of the Assistant Director of Human Resources is to develop, incorporate, and manage various HR processes, policies, and procedures. He/She will need to ensure consistency and optimal performance for essential HR tasks such as hiring, promotion, onboarding, recruitment, and performance management. The Assistant Director Human Resources will perform research and analyse crucial HR practices and establishes solutions for different kinds of issues.
Overseeing Recruitment and Hiring :
- The Assistant Director Human Resources will manage the recruitment and hiring processes and ensures the company has a skilled and diverse workforce that understands the organization's goals and vision. He/She will assess the company's employment needs, which enables them to develop and incorporate optimal recruitment strategies.
- The Assistant Director of Human Resources may need to create job descriptions, provides guidance during interviews and selection, and support the Hiring team in developing employment offers. He/She will also assess the effectiveness of recruitment and hiring processes for best results.
Overseeing the HR Business Partners :
- The Assistant Director Human Resources will oversee the employee issues and overall pulse of the organization through the HR Business Partners. He/She will guide the HR Business Partners to provide strategic business partnership, thought partnership, and coaching to all levels of the organization.
- The Assistant Director Human Resources will also provide tactical human resource leadership including strategic planning and visioning on business issues affecting unique divisions, manage day-to-day operations of the HR function, and provide input for problem solving, consistency, fairness and/or action planning.
Evaluating the Performance Management System :
The Assistant Director Human Resources will evaluate the performance management system to ensure that it's as effective as possible. This includes making sure that it's properly implemented and that it takes into account the needs of employees working at all levels within the company. He/She will work closely with the HR Business Partners, providing them with the necessary training so that they can manage employee performance properly.
REQUIRED SKILLS & COMPETENCIES :
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the following attributes & competencies :
WHAT YOU'LL BRING :
- Master's degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of progressively responsible experience in human resources.
- Relationship Management & Collaboration- building and fostering strong trust-based relationships with clients and internal partners across the organization.
- Influence and Negotiation - Ability to read a situation and act in a direct, forceful yet diplomatic manner to develop trust and openness of clients to consider alternatives. Confidence in expressing opposing opinions that are in the best interest of all parties involved.
- A skillful and collaborative team player with the ability to network effectively up, down and across the business.
- Ability to anticipate/solve problems with a sense of urgency; manage changing/multiple priorities, and superior interpersonal, communication and presentation capability.
- Must be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
- Advanced MS Office Skills
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
