Role Specification Template :

Reports to : Functional Risk Leader (FRL), with a dotted line reporting to the General Counsel

Liaises with (Internally) : The consulting team members including Partners & Managers and Other FRL, and RRO Team

Liaises with (Externally ): The client team members, including client's internal or external legal counsel.

Primary purpose of the role : Assist the Senior FRL Legal resource/FRL in the legal matters relating to Risk and Reputational Aspects for the Consulting Function.

Major responsibilities :

- Assist the Senior FRL Legal resource/FRL in the legal matters relating to Risk and Reputational Aspects.

Responsibilities include legal and functional risk analysis of Deliverable - consulting engagements, contract negotiations, mitigating risks and other legal matters.

- Drafting, review and negotiation of legal documentation relevant for the Consulting Function, including documentation to be entered into with clients, service providers, subcontractors and other parties.

- Review of tenders, requests for proposals or similar documents issued by Clients and advising on the legal risks and the strategies and alternatives (including suitable documentation or changes to documentation) for mitigating or managing those risks.

- Providing legal inputs from a functional perspective to cross functional contracts and assisting the FRL in evaluating the risks relevant for the function for such deals.

- Liaison with the firm's central Reputation and Risk Office (RRO) to imbibe the legal imperatives and including in the consulting function.

- Developing standard form contracts and other documentation and templates for the Consulting Function.

- Assistance in developing policies for the firm from risk and quality perspective.

- Assistance in preparing material (presentations) for workshops & training programs.

- Providing legal support to other matters as the FRL or the General Counsel may consider necessary for the Consulting Function.

Skills Required : The resource should have knowledge of fundamental subjects in Indian law.

The resource should have :

- Ability to interpret laws, rules and regulations and apply them to work as required.

- Risk spotting ability, the resource must be able to quickly assess the risk areas and recommend practical and legally tenable ways of mitigating or managing them.

- Analytical skills - should be able to use judgment, analyze facts and draw logical conclusions.

- Effective verbal and written communication skills - should be able to draft legal clauses / contracts, prepare reports and correspondence related to work

- Dispute resolution experience or exposure important.
