Looking out for Assistant / Associated Editor - Lifestyle and Entertainment

The ideal candidate will have :

- Know how of US and global media industry standards.

- Experience handling Lifestyle and Entertainment, and a variety of other genres across digital platforms.

- Working knowledge of how to independently handle breaking news scenarios, where speed and accuracy would be of the essence.

- Expertise in collaborating in a fast-paced newsroom with a team of editors/producers.

- Proven ability to choose from a wide range of content options and select those that offer the greatest currency and the deepest relevance with an unbiased and objective narration of facts.

- Keen understanding of the best, most elegant content offered by high-quality news outlets.

- Solid journalistic skills and strong knowledge of news, finance, sports, entertainment and lifestyle topics of interest to an international audience.

- Attention to detail, an appreciation for strong visual presentation and a passion for editorial excellence.

- Good knowledge of engaging with the audiences on social platforms.

Basic Qualifications :

- 4 - 8 years of editorial experience in digital journalism, part of it handling Lifestyle and Entertainment.

- Ability to work across boundaries with shared objectives and a passion around immersive content experiences.

- Experience and keen understanding of online publishing tools and content management systems.

- 3+ years of using metrics-reporting packages to inform content programming and forecasting.

- Degree in journalism, communications or related discipline preferred.
