Assistant/Associate Director - Sciences & Humanities



Responsibilities :

- Implement the Vision & Mission of the institution and accordingly plan, develop & implement a student admissions & outreach plan for the programs offered.

- Discuss with all key stakeholders in Science & Humanities department and prepare a list of annual initiatives and targets for the institution (collective and department wise) related to admissions and work towards fulfillment of the targets.

- Review and ensure that requirements of all statutory and regulatory body requirements for admissions are met.

- Provide leadership, management and support for the recruitment efforts of the Office of Admissions and develops a competent and effective staff by hiring and supervising personnel.

- Set and implement the end to end admissions and selection process for each of the programs offered and oversee that the process is carried out in an unbiased manner. This includes reviewing and verifying of applications, conducting entrance exams, setting of parameters and cut-offs, final selections, follow ups, etc.

- Ensure continuing flow of quality applicants to the college by analyzing trends in enrollment and marketing activities and formulate strategies to add/modify/discontinue programs and increase/reduce seat intake based on their effectiveness and enrollment.

- Lead the outreach, admissions and financial aid teams to deliver a coordinated and efficient admissions and financial aid process from the start of the applications to the day of joining and beyond.

- Provide students, parents and guardians with information regarding admission requirements and processes, financial aid applications, enrollment issues, etc.

- Implement an online and offline system for addressing queries of candidates before, during and after the admission procedure related to issues such as admissions, withdrawal, credit arrangements, approval of overseas study, special and supplementary examinations, exclusions, appeals graduations, etc.

- Set systems and policies for collection of fees of the selected candidates and ensure that fees are collected in a timely manner. Also set policies for refund of fees for candidates leaving the college.

- Establish, implement and manage scholarships programs for the courses based on certain merit based criteria. The scholarships should be for worthy candidates securing high ranks in entrance tests, etc.

- Prepare and maintain records and statistics regarding enrollment, geographical distribution of students, financial aid, attrition, etc.

- Carry out extensive market analysis to understand (but not limited to) industry trends, growth rate, outlook, target market and competitor study.

- Design strategies for online outreach programs which includes social media pages, social media campaigns, google analytics, online marketing, etc. and strategies for offline outreach programs which includes offline marketing, visits to schools and coaching centers, visit to education fairs, managing campus ambassador programs in different schools and colleges, faculty interactions through info sessions, etc. to target our target market for generating potential leads and following up with them. Also review the implementation of the marketing strategies, outreach programs and leads generation & conversion and carry out analysis on the success of these.

- Promote good relationships with third party institutions such as schools, libraries, coaching classes, etc. which can be helpful in attracting quality students.

- Prepare an annual budget for the admissions and outreach department which includes detailed expenditures for manpower, outreach programs, etc.

- Collect feedback about the admission process from those who applied, who were selected, and who withdrew their application after selection or dropped out in a few days. Analyze the feedback collected and take necessary measures to curb the issues and strengthen the process.

Qualifications :

- Recognized postgraduate qualification (preferably in Marketing domain) and other academic qualifications from recognized institutions

- Minimum of 10 years- experience as an Admissions and/or Marketing role in a recognized Humanity & Sciences Institution (Top 20 Humanity & Science Educational Institutions in the country would be preferred)
