Assemblage Entertainment is India's leading feature-film focused CGI animation studio based out of Mumbai, working on a slate of theatrical films and high end television content for global audiences.

Set up in 2013 and headquartered in Mumbai, Assemblage boasts of an award-winning team of technocrats, artists and management professionals with several years of collective experience in creating world-class animation productions with major Hollywood studios and independent production companies globally. It is housed in a 15,000 sq. ft. facility with a team comprising of over 250 people.

In a short span of time, Assemblage has delivered two full length feature films - first with Lionsgate called Norm of the North, which received a wide theatrical release across 2,400 screens in North America followed by a world-wide release, and then with an Australian producer on Blinky Bill - The Movie, distributed by Studio Canal. It is currently working on its third 3D stereoscopic CGI animated feature by Open Road Films with a strong voice cast including Alec Baldwin, John Cleese, Heidi Klum, James Franco, Jeremy Renner etc.

Assemblage also recently worked on DreamWorks' Trollhunters - a Netflix Original Series by Guillermo del Toro, that has won several Emmy and Annie Awards.

Job role & description - 

As a project manager, you will be responsible for planning, creating & managing the schedule and tasks of the production team to ensure smooth execution and delivery of high quality entertainment projects.

We are looking for specialists who have good knowledge & understanding of a production pipeline as well as excellent planning, co-ordinating & follow up skills. Someone who is highly organized, a strong leader with effective communication skills and is able to work under pressure to deliver projects within given resources & deadlines.

Responsibilities include - 

1) Project estimation

a. Facilitate scope definition, and high-level planning, discovery, and estimation for projects with cross-functional teams and department supervisors

b. Work closely with client on schedules and delivery milestones.

c. Document key assumptions and dependencies established through estimation activities

d. Create and revise bids and financials for the projects

2) Project planning

a. Create a detailed project schedule & communication plan

b. Develop a delivery plan in conjunction with cross-functional leads and department supervisors

c. Ensure proactive scheduling of key deliverables, milestones & tasks and highlight any project/production related obstacles

d. Validate that the scope of the project can be completed within timeline and budget

e. Provide detailed understanding & estimation of resource allocation

f. Plan with senior leadership of the overall project/production including the scheduling and budget requirements

3) Project delivery

a. Organize & lead production meetings to maintain effective communication with supervisors, co-ordinators & team members

b. Liaise & co-ordinate with Department Heads/ Managers to ensure that weekly quotas, department milestones and inventory expectations are met

c. Track and manage the workflow through various departments & ensure that internal and external deadlines are being met

d. Manage & oversee co-ordinators, artists across all verticals to ensure adherence to schedule & milestone commitments

e. Clearly communicate all relevant team members & stakeholders of any project changes or advancements

f. Provide the essential backbone support to the CG supervisor for him/her to carry out responsibilities effectively

g. Control the overall project in terms of time and budget

h. Escalate key issues and risks to ensure timely resolution & mitigation of such problems

i. Provide all necessary reports to MIS/accounts for generation of relevant reports for management review and analysis

j. Work closely with accounts/operations-head for P&L of the project

k. Work closely with technology and pipeline team for developing and deploying automation for improving efficiencies

Skills & qualification - 

a. Relevant production experience in the field of Animation

b. Excellent communication skills

c. Good co-ordination & organisation skills

d. Excellent people management Skills

e. Strong planning and scheduling abilities

f. Educational qualification: Graduate (preferably an MBA)
