Rationale of the position
- Modern trade in Country is expanding at a rapid pace
- The requirement for the same is very specialized and customized. They need one central position who can deal with them at the same set of terms and take a regional stand on issues and promotions
- The position would be responsible for setting up and expanding the scope of modern trade business in Mumbai
- The position will deal with most of the Super markets chains and standalones in the country
- He would be responsible for increasing sales from these sets of outlets through promotions and create visibility for specific set of brands, which would be state of art for Company.
Span:
- The ASM would be reported in by Modern Trade TSOs
- The span will include super markets and chains in the Region
- There will be Modern Trade distributors who supply to these set of outlets besides direct billing from the Co.
Reporting:
- He would report in to the Divisional Head
Key role:
- Business delivery as per plans for various brands
- Implement the Company Merchandising and Planogram in all key outlets for area of influence.
- Design and implement the modern trade structure including DSRs/ Merchandisers/distributors.
- Relation ship building and business benefits from the same in the area of operation
- Design and implement promotions and maximize business through least cost to the organisation.
- Look at long term contractual agreements with these set of outlets to gain competitive advantage both in terms of visibility and also in terms of business terms.
- Manage his set of reportees and motivate them to deliver business.
Role Holder Requirement
- MBA Marketing 2009/10 Batch (Top B-Schools only)
- Minimum 1year in Modern Trade Business
- High Visible Energy
- High initiative and Ability to set his own goals.
